Lemon Herb Chicken

When life gets busy staying on track with your protein intake can be difficult. Protein has a chemical effect on the brain that helps you feel fuller longer. When you are trying to lose inches staying within a calorie deficit is key. Having your meal prep chicken ready to go will make it easy for you to get a serving of protein on the go.

Lemon herb meal prep chicken it can be served with a lot of different meals because of its deliciously easy-to-pair flavors. Fresh lemon and a mix of herbs make this chicken tender and quick.

In a large bowl or air-tight container place chicken. Add remaining ingredients and cover. Marinade for at least 15 min- 2 hrs.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound thinly sliced chicken breast
  • 1 tsp Salt 
  • 1 tsp Sugar 
  • Fresh Cracked Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika 
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder 
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder 
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano 
  • 1 tsp Dried parsley 
  • 1 tsp Dried basil 
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Olive oil 
  • 1 tsp Red wine vinegar 
  • 1/2 Lemon juiced (save remaining half for after cooking)

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat grill or well-seasoned cast iron pan until it’s hot, 5-7 min, then lower heat to medium. Grill on either side for 3-4 min until cooked through. (Internal temp of 165F). Squeeze lemon over top before serving.

Air fryer Instructions:

Preheat to 400F. Place chicken in one layer. Place in the air fryer for 10 min. Flip halfway through cook time.

Delicious grilled and served with your favorite sides or prepped ahead. Serve with your favorite salad or in a wrap.
